Good Morning all,
It’s a poor mans attempt but WordPress now fits snugly in my sites layout. It’s not a true WP theme but it will do for now. I will do better at some point!!
Otherwise as always my aim is to write my own blog software.
Off for the days work now.

Well I’m sat in the corner of my local pub The Victoria in Westbury on Trym. It’s quiz night and today is a Pirate theme in aid of the RNLI.
Which island in the bristol channel was home to pirates?? Lundey me thinks. (edit: and it was!!).
Emma is now taking the mick out of me for blogging on my phone. Piffle!!
I keep trying to work out how I can convert people to the pirate party uk!!
Well I’m finishing the post after the pub now because the signal in the bar is pants. We came a close 3rd out of 12, and had a lot of fun.
Golden dabloons for all,
James

Good afternoon everyone, I got a bit bored today so I wrote a new section for the site. If you look up and to the right you may spot the “Random” section.
The random section currently holds Quotes, The Yellow Car Game, and the ultimate rules of Shotgun.
Check it out for a bit of procrastination.
Cheers,
James

Well good evening everyone, I hope you are all well! As you can see the website is slowly evolving, hopefully for the better.
A week or so ago I got bored and started to take a look at writing my own Photo Album application. And if you take a look at the Photo section above, you will see it.
Currently it does not have many overly advanced features, but it does what it does and it does it well!
The album scripts have the ability to accept uploads of up to 30 photos at a time (with a maximum of 50MB at a time), each picture is then cloned and resized into a thumbnail to be used in the album. Many web-hosts have a rather low figure for the maximum memory a script can use, so the resizer runs in a external loop. The files awaiting a thumbnail are stored in the database and are stepped though one at a time, refreshing the page for each generation (as such releasing the memory that was used for the previous image). The thumb resizing also takes into concern the orientation.
Once I have finished polishing the scripts, I intend to release them for all to use. The intention being that they are a photo album which can easily be inserted into an existing website design, rather than having to be a separate entity to your normal website.
G’nite all, love and chocolate coated strawberrys to all.
J x
